Industry leader Tracey Gramlick was today announced as the Chair of the Board of �������� Limited.

Ms Gramlick, the first woman to serve as the Chair of �������� in the company’s almost 100-year history, comes to the role with more than thirty-five years of experience in engineering, manufacturing, research and development, advocacy, management and marketing roles in several ASX listed, private, not for profit and government enterprises and as a non-executive director.

In her previous role as Chief Executive Officer & Executive Director of the Australian Window Association, Ms Gramlick served as a member representative and on the �������� Council. Gramlick has also served as Chair of several �������� technical committees, and as an Australian delegate to the International Organization for Standardization (ISO).

Ms Gramlick was first elected to the �������� Board in 2017. Her appointment follows the retirement of Richard Brooks, who reached his maximum term of 6 years as Chair.

In acknowledging Ms Gramlick’s appointment, Mr Brooks commented, “I am proud of what we have achieved in the last 6 years through my tenure as Chair. I want to thank the board, staff, and members and stakeholders for their support over the last 6 years.

“I am incredibly pleased that Tracey will succeed me as Chair. I do not doubt that her skills, knowledge, commitment and dedication will serve her well through her term,” concluded Mr Brooks.

In commenting on her appointment, Ms Gramlick said, “It’s an honour to be appointed as Chair of ��������. I look forward to working with the board and the management team to achieve our mission of empowering Australian communities. Much has been done, and there is much more to do.”

Ms Gramlick’s appointment has been acknowledged by government and industry leaders.

CSIRO’s Chief Scientist Dr Cathy Foley welcomed the appointment, “I congratulate Tracey on her appointment. Tracey is passionate about standards and their importance to the scientific and technical infrastructure of Australia. I look forward to Tracey forging even greater links between national and international standards and Australia’s research and scientific community.”

Mr Innes Willox, Chief Executive of the national employer association, Australian Industry Group, said, “Ai Group welcomes the decision of the Board of �������� to appoint Tracey Gramlick as its new Chair.  Tracey is highly respected; has a close knowledge of the multi-layered links between standards and industry; and a firm commitment to the positive role of standards in supporting the Australian economy and society.”
