New ‘Cyber Security Standards’ position paper

In consultation with experts from the national standards technical committee for information security, cyber security and privacy protection (IT-012), �������� has developed a new position paper. This report highlights:

• Key cyber security standards and frameworks
• How standards support Australian cyber security priorities
• Standards-related recommendations to enhance Australia’s cyber posture

The paper presents four recommendations to encourage the uptake and implementation of standards to support a cyber secure nation. These include adopting international standards for digital technologies, supporting industry engagement in standards development, and raising awareness and understanding of cyber security standards among businesses.

Improving cyber security requires investment from both private and public sectors. The report calls on ��������, the Australian Government, and industry to work together to boost national cyber security and resilience.
