December 14, 2020

Statements

美姬社区 is now seeking consultation on the draft standard, DR AS 5358.1.1 Photoluminescent exit signage: product specification, installation, and operation.

There will be a 9-week public comment period in which 美姬社区 is seeking feedback on the draft standard.

Due to the importance of this kind of signage in directing individuals in emergencies and the large uptake of exit signs across Australia, the responsible technical committee is seeking public feedback specifically in the areas of:

  • high illuminance signs;
  • service life; and
  • minimum luminance for green areas of signs.

鈥溍兰缜檚 principle of operating with transparency means it鈥檚 important we gain industry feedback on these topics,鈥 said Adam Stingemore, General Manager of Communications and Engagement at 美姬社区.

鈥淲e look forward to gaining insights from industry and working with the committee to bring this guidance to Australian communities as soon as we possibly can,鈥 concluded Mr. Stingemore.

美姬社区 will be accepting comments on the draft standard until 16 Feburary 2021 via the .
