Statements

Easy access to standards when and where they鈥檙e needed is helping sustainable energy company Endua compete, stay compliant and deliver results.

Endua is a Brisbane-based technology start-up developing the next generation of storage solutions for renewable energy. By tapping into the power of hydrogen as an energy storage medium, Endua develops power banks for multi-day renewable energy storage.

For Endua, keeping up to date with the latest standards is paramount to being at the forefront of the rapidly evolving renewable energy sector.

Quality and compliance through Australian Standards

Australian Standards play a crucial role in the development of Endua鈥檚 products.

鈥淥ur team of engineers are using Australian Standards to help develop the products. We鈥檙e accessing a wide range of standards including hydraulic, mechanical, and electrical standards, to help ensure the systems we build are safe and perform to expectations鈥 says Ben McGruer, Endua鈥檚 Head of Engineering.

Adherence to Australian Standards not only helps Endua meet relevant regulations and drive best practices, but it also helps build customer confidence 鈥 essential in a market that sees Endua competing with big players that have big resources. Having the most current standards at their fingertips means they can stay at the forefront of their developing field.

鈥淥ur customers are very aware of the standards that apply,鈥 says Endua CEO Paul Sernia, 鈥渁nd standards provide a common language through which we can explain what it is we鈥檙e doing.鈥

Benefits of a Custom Subscription

A has given Endua a flexible and cost-effective way of accessing the large number of standards they need.

With multi-user access, and the ability to access across multiple devices, a Custom Subscription means they can access those standards precisely when, how and where they need them.

鈥淲e鈥檙e accessing standards from our desks as part of our engineering work, in the workshop as part of the build process, and out in the field from our phones and laptop computers,鈥 says McGruer.

With standards being regularly updated and new standards being introduced to keep up with advances in technology and the accompanying shifts in best practices, it's important that Endua stays up to date with the latest developments.

With a Custom Subscription, standards are automatically updated, and subscribers made aware of amendments or revisions. Organisations also have the option to add additional documents to their subscription as their need for standards grows e.g. if taking on a new project.

鈥淗aving ready access to the latest version ensures we stay up-to-date,鈥 says McGruer.

For Sernia, this helps provide an edge for Endua to be leaders in their field.

鈥淔or us to remain competitive,鈥 he continues, 鈥渨e need to ensure that we鈥檙e always at the forefront 鈥 of standards, and technology.鈥
