Following a review spanning well over 12 months, �������� has outlined changes to be implemented as part of its Technical Governance Review.“This is an exciting step forward for ��������,” said Ms Kareen Riley-Takos, General Manager – Operations at ��������. “Each year, �������� works with over 5,000 contributors to publish hundreds of standards meaning any step to improve our processes will have a substantial impact on a number of sectors.”

The Technical Governance Review, underpinned by a report from cameron. ralph. khoury, found �������� should strive to be:

• More strategic in setting its development priorities and in articulating the cost/benefit and impact of its work;
• More open in its processes with inclusion, transparency and community accessibility being key themes in all areas of work; and
• More proactive in quality assurance with a particular focus on the quality of input, standards development decision making and standards development dispute resolution.

“There are a number of areas to be implemented for the coming financial year,” said Ms Riley-Takos. “We have been discussing how to improve the work of �������� for some time now. We have engaged contributors, staff, nominating organisations, governments, and the Australian public to ensure the future of �������� is one continuing to deliver beyond expectations.
